Farming for Sustainability

As the Victoria Watoto community continues to grow rapidly, so does our need to provide nutritious meals to our learners every day. To reduce the rising costs of purchasing food and to become more self-reliant, we launched a greenhouse farming initiative.

This project serves a dual purpose:

• Supplying fresh food to our school kitchen

• Educating our learners about sustainable agriculture and the importance of food security

Our goal is to integrate farming into our school’s learning experience while addressing our most immediate needs—feeding our children.

However, to make this project successful and sustainable, we need your help. We are in constant need of farm equipment, tools, seeds, and agricultural expertise. We welcome both financial donations and volunteers who can assist us in the field or offer training and guidance.
