Inspiring Girls, Changing Lives Through Soccer

Founded in 2020, the Victoria Watoto Starlets senior ladies’ soccer team was born out of a powerful need—to give talented young women a platform to shine, grow, and dream beyond the limits imposed by poverty and societal expectations.

In our region, girls’ soccer has long been undervalued, and many talented players would abandon their dreams after high school—some entering early marriages, others simply giving up due to lack of opportunity. We saw the potential and decided to act.

Why We Exist:

• To keep young women focused on their goals beyond high school

• To use soccer as a tool for empowerment, education, and health awareness

• To connect players with professional and paying leagues, helping them earn and grow

• To inspire a new generation—we are the team every upcoming club wants to beat

Our Impact:

• Several players have been scouted into senior leagues across Kenya, with some earning income from their talent

• The team plays a central role in mentoring younger girls from our junior academy and school

• We continue to raise the standard and visibility of women’s soccer in our county
